Finesse without Force for the
English or Western Competitve Rider
For the Competition rider who wants to connect and ride with clarity and kindness while having even greater success both in and out of the showring.
Thanks to Jenni I may have a shot at truly making a difference to my horse and his interest in our work and time together.
Jenni is all heart and education and softness-the day I met Jenni I knew I'd never let go of her and that her influence on me was going to be super important!
Very grateful for her in my life and I know my horses are even more grateful.

Improve your show ring success by putting your horse's physical and emotional wellbeing first.
You're a competitive rider who puts your horse first and wants to ride with kindness and clarity, while still finding success in the show ring. You struggle with heavy contact, rein snatching, difficulty with collection or a lack of willingness from your horse.
In the barn you might be struggling with ground manners or fights when it comes to meds and other husbandry chores.
You're dedicated to continuous learning, and you're seeking better ways to improve your competitive skills and move up the ranks without sacrificing the connection you seek with your horse. Learn to achieve softer communication, better transitions, and a more willing, happier horse without relying on forceful methods.
Transform your horse's willingness and ability in the show ring without the need for severe, unnecessary gadgets and forceful techniques.
Learn to implement and integrate R+ training techniques into what you're already having success with to reach your goals.
Develop a calmer, happier horse (on the the ground and under saddle) who's interested in working with you, responding to your aids with ease and precision.
Gain confidence in your aids, knowing they are biomechanically correct, kind and effective.
This clinic will give you the tools to achieve more willingness and better rideability by implementing training techniques that can lead to bitless and bridleless riding, so that you and your horse harmonize in true rideability and lightness - without force or coercion. Together, you and your horse will enjoy greater success and satisfaction, both in and out of the show ring.
You will learn how to be a better team on the ground and under saddle.
[Jenni] has a gentle approach and a positive demeanor that worked well for my situation. After a few sessions, as I applied the techniques Jenni taught me,
I saw results and in turn had a horse who was more willing to engage. She was able to quickly come up with unique solutions to problems that arose, by thinking out of the box.
Jenni is a pleasure to work with, has a good sense of humor and a genuine caring attitude. She is a lovely, correct rider who draws from her experience with multiple riding disciplines.

Giving treats predictably so that your horse doesn’t get stressed out by trying to figure out how to get them
Teaching your horse that the click means yes so you can use that as a communication tool that tells your horse when they're doing what you want
Target Touching Basics to teach your horse to be guided so that you can move their feet with willingness and ease
Creating Finesse without Force
by Implementing Positive Training Techniques
To Create Lightness, Responsiveness & Willingness
Step by step instruction teaches you to:
Use the target to retrain or reinforce skills learned through negative reinforcement
Move the feet with positive reinforcement so that your horse develops intrinsic motivation and responsiveness.
Develop the connection between a neck string and halt to build the foundation of contactless halting and “rein” back, and prepare for future collected work
Establish timing and feel of footfalls so that you can influence the placement and direction of your horse’s feet
Breathe to a halt to teach your horse to stop when you stop riding
Advance through the gaits for greater confidence and clearer communication
Pair old backup cues with new backup cues to set the foundation for collection
Talk to your horse's feet under saddle for the ultimate finesse in steering and confident control
Tools to improve your horse's (human world) life skills making it easier and more pleasant for her to live in our world.
